A greengage fruit tree known for its beautiful white spring blossoms, giving way to round, greening yellow fruit with a delicate bloom. These fruits ripen from mid to late summer, renowned for their exceptional sweetness and resistance to cracking. ‘Lindsey Gage’ is partially self-fertile, and crop yield can be variable without a pollinating partner, but compensates with its exquisite clusters of white spring flowers, adding to its ornamental appeal.
Pollination Information: Although partially self-fertile, yields will be increased if paired with a pollinating partner from another variety of plum or gage nearby. Ideally this should come from the same pollination group 3, however it is possible to use one from group 2 or 4 as well.
When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly. Prune in summer to reduce the risk of silver leaf and bacterial canker.
